I would just like to say thank you Mr Dobson for being such a fabulous teacher. A friend and I used to attend Birkenhead College a few years ago. My friend used to get very badly bullied and had a extremly difficult time at school, you made it so much easier for her.
I remember you taking the time of day and talking to my friend and making her feel so much better about herself as a person. It just takes great teachers like you to make alittle time everyday to give school kids who get a hard time the confidence and reassurance that they can succeed and nothing is wronge with them.
I wish we could of both thanked you in person, unfortunetly it is now impossible.
My friend is now studying in Aussie doing a double degree, and thanks to you and some other great teachers you were one of the ones who we can both look back and remember as being a compasionate soul, and giving other students the same confidence as you did for my friend and I.
Thank you!
To Mr Dobson,
I never finished my course by the end of April, even though I sat forever at your tables in your graceful presence. I can't believe you are gone! I heard late about your death and was not able to say goodbye until now... You shall rest in peace forever and I am sure that there are many things waiting for you up there... Join all your friends and family who have gone before you and have a magnificent celebration. Death is the new beginning to your eternal life.
We Will NEVER forget you, you touched our lives and will forever continue to be in our hearts...
We never really get to choose our teachers... but fate draws us to meet the best!!
Sarah
Mr D will be sorely missed, he was a great artisrt and a pretty cool form teacher. You will be missed by all that knew you. condolences to your familt.
I will forever remember Mr Dobson with a great deal of respect. He was a great teacher and knew exactly how to handle the challenges of teenage years. As a student he was one of the few teachers I really respected and listened to and to his family, may you be at peace with the knowledge of how much he touched so many peoples lives.
Tribute
May his memory never fade,
may his spirit always be near,
i read this now out loud,
because i know that he can hear.
Although his soul has gone to heaven,
and his body turned to dust,
his thoughts will still remain,
though may grow old and start to rust.
He was neither old nor young,
but somewhere in between,
full of happiness and peacefullness,
he was kind and never mean.
So now he's with his loved one's,
who's time has long past-by,
while his spirit sours above us,
as he watches from the sky.
He was loved to bits by many,
though at times you couldn't tell,
his presence is loud and clear,
like the tolling of a bell.
i give this to you now,
as a celebration, not in mourning,
as the great life that he had,
and his new life that is dawning.
